Invite reviewers to check your translations
Share link with PIN
Use a Share link when the reviewer just needs to watch the dub and tell you what they think. Setup:
From your dub, generate a share link. Dubly.AI gives you a URL with a 4-digit PIN.
Send the URL and PIN to the reviewer.
They open the link, enter the PIN and watch every language version of the dub.
Reviewers don't need a Dubly.AI account. The PIN keeps the link from being usable by random visitors. What a Share link reviewer can do:
Watch every language version of the dub.
Switch between languages from a selector in the player. What they can't do:
Edit translations.
Comment inside Dubly.AI.
See your other dubs or team.
Share just one language version (the link includes all languages — see Share a dub).
Invite as a Reviewer
Use the Reviewer role when someone should review and edit the translation of a specific language — following instructions you leave — directly in the app, without access to the rest of your workspace.
Have an Owner or Admin invite the reviewer from the Members page with the Reviewer role.
Open the dub, go to the Review tab, and Assign them to the language you want checked — optionally adding instructions. (Any collaborator, including a Member, can assign.)
The reviewer edits that translation from their own Your reviews queue and clicks Complete review when done. While the review is in progress you can't edit that language yourself; you're notified when it's finished.
A Reviewer only ever sees the languages assigned to them — not your other dubs. For the full picture, see The Reviewer role.
Invite as a workspace Member
Use a workspace Member invite when the reviewer should actually edit translations themselves — fix wording, correct names, polish tone — not just give you written feedback to action afterwards. Setup:
Open the Members page in your workspace settings.
Click Invite Member, enter the reviewer's email and pick the Member role.
They receive an email invite. Once they accept (creating a Dubly.AI account, or signing into an existing one), they can open any dub in the workspace and edit it directly in the Edit Translation tab. What a Member can do:
Open dubs and edit translations, source text, or speaker assignments — see Editing a segment: original text and translation
Trigger a re-render via the Update button to apply their edits — see Fine-tune your dub with the Advanced Editor
Create new dubs and use credits from the workspace What a Member can't do:
Invite other people to the workspace
Change workspace settings or billing
Member access is workspace-wide. A reviewer invited as a Member will see and can edit every dub in your workspace, not just the one you'd like reviewed. If that's a concern, invite them as a Reviewer instead (reviews only the language versions you assign), or use the view-only Share link with PIN above.
For the full role comparison, see Workspaces and user roles.
